Hi, my name is Luis, i live in Mesa, Az. Last week i got an itch for stamp collecting and for the last couple days i've
been looking for some forums and stamps on the net. this is gonna be long, so please bare with me, i really want people to help me out as i just began this last week like i said. People have told me that you can choose sooo many specific types of stamps you want to collect, like trains, cars, people, animals, ect. Well i have chosen to collect stamps from different countries all over the world. So i wont specify on one thing, and i think, or hope, it will be easier to come up with stamps. So, so far, i have 4 Hong Kong native birds stamps i got from an envelope, 11 Russian painting stamps, 71 Poland stamps. I got some of them from ebay, they are used, and in really good condition. I plan to order some from Argentina and Japan in the next week. Is it considered, how can i say it, lazy, faker, or non-collecting-like for me to get them online? I have been trying to get them from our mail...but, we get one stamp every couple months, they pre-pay now, so no stamps on envelopes. I have also been looking at some Stockbooks on ebay, i found some nice ones that are 16 pages double sided for $15, that will be a start at least. I have looked for some Stamp Dealers/Shops here in the phoenix area, but i really wanted to join some forums and get 24/7 access to people and all the threads on this forum. The only thing i really want to say is, got any comments? ahah, or suggestions, tips, maybe some pointers, just want to know if im in a good track. Thanks you all very much. |
