Hi all,
I am Gerard (kiwistamp) and just a new member on this site, I am in my 50s and have collected stamps since I was young, I live in the South Island of New Zealand near the top of the island. I mainly collect New Zealand Stamps, Samoa, Niue, Tokelau, Cook Islands and there entry port stamp issuing islands of Aitutaki and Penrhyn, Ross Dependency - NZ Antarctica All mint only and some FDC's, mainly NZ and Tokelau, the rest are to many and all are getting to expensive but this is the way they are going, Tokelau is one of the best at not over doing it and only have a few issues a year, Samoa also is good as is Ross Dep. Niue have just got a new issuing contract with NZ Post so will see how that goes and how the new issue policy is. NZ issue a lot now each year and mostly many stamps per issue and getting into high value ones, to many and getting to costly but they won't listen to their customers, us the stamp collectors as we make them a lot of money. But I still collect them as I feel that you must at least collect your own country and take an interest in the history and items of interest that stamps do portray. Any one is welcome to contact me via this site. Thank you for reading my message and I wish all stamp collectors all around the world happy collecting and a Happy New Year. Kind regards, Gerard (Kiwistamp). This post has been edited by KiwiStamp: 13.1.2010, 22:21 |
