Hi, I am looking to buy first day covers. And having looked around the internet I have discovered that there are a few companies that provide them.

WHat is the best way to buy?

From one company only? Or from the Post Office?

If I buy new first day covers from one company, would it be best to buy in future from one company as well?

To keep continuity of design and designers?

I have been a collector of FDCs for many years and obtain them in many ways.
For current covers the best way is to have a standing order with the particular country of interest. In my case the UK.They are very
prompt and do not charge for postage. If it is Australian once again a standing order with the Philatelic Bureau in Melbourne.Good
idea is to get on the mailing list for the Stamp Bulletin ,it's free, and keeps you up to date with forthcoming issues. You can of
course get most covers from the various post shops.
Other ways are the auction lists on Ebay. You can obtain some very interesting covers from all over the world,if your bid is high
enough.I have obtained some very good covers this way. Then there are the various stamp shows where you can brouse for
hours and purchase what you want.

The choice is yours. Happy collecting.
